Okay - so I bought this as an add-on with LOW expectations because I never like eye liner pencils - - a SHOCKER - - it is EXACTLY what it is advertised to be!!!! A fantastic slide-on pencil. There is no tugging, no pulling, no dragging - - just a perfectly smooth slide on the eyelid. The color pigmentation is clear and accurate too. So often pencil eyeliners don't last all day for me, but this pencil lasted a 12 hour work day and looked great up to the time I washed it off. I was such a skeptic, but now I am purchasing them in multiple different dark colors. After several weeks of using the bronze I am more than pleased with my purchase! Thank you for making a believer out of me!

I've been using these pencils for a couple of years now, and they are by far the most pigmented affordable eyeliner I've ever tried. They're also very soft, which makes them super easy to apply. They wear very well and last a pretty long time.
My only complaint about them is that they tend to run a bit if you put them on the waterline. It's a little frustrating because I use black on my waterline, and then the silver on my lash line, and what ends up happening is the black sort of melts down into the silver and runs down the inner corner of my eye a bit. It's not dramatic, and it definitely doesn't create raccoon eyes, but it does kind of muddy the silver a bit. If these were waterproof they'd be perfect.

I bought two of these eyeliner pencils at Ulta a few weeks ago. I got the Pretty Violet and the Sunrise Blue. I really love the blue one because it is a vibrant blue, it really pops on my upper lashline. I have worn the violet one on my lower lashline because it is very subtle and not as "in your face". It works well when I subtly smudge it before it sets.
To address the "sharpening" issue, I was surprised when I removed the protective wrap from my Violet pencil to find a "barely there" point. It looked like it had broken off in the packaging process. I was a little confused by the composition of the pencil because it felt like plastic and I couldn't see a way to twist up the pencil. I was all set to return it to Ulta when I decided to see if I could sharpen it with my "Flirt! Make Your Point" makeup pencil sharpener. It worked just fine and I was able to get a decent point on my new eyeliner pencil.
I'll definitely go back to Ulta and pick up some more colors. I just read a review that said the black is good for the waterline. I've been eyeballing the EM Michelle Phan Waterliner pencil but at $20 a pop I think I'll give the NYX pencil a try first.
