Home Remedies for Unwanted Facial Hair Removal

So before you resort to highly expensive chemical methods, try these effective home remedies, the regular use of which can stop hair growth.


1. Honey and Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice is a good natural bleacher, while honey brings in the necessary stickiness that helps lift off the fine hair from your face. In this mixture, lemon will act as an exfoliating agent, slowly eating away the hair off your face while honey makes the process even faster by hydrating the hair strands.


Procedure:


  • Mix a tablespoonful of lemon juice with three to five spoons of honey.
  • Mix and apply the paste on your face.
  • Let it stay for half an hour. Slowly remove the mask using a washcloth.

2. Turmeric and Milk:

Ahh turmeric… It’s been used to treat skin diseases for centuries. In addition to having antibacterial and antiseptic properties, turmeric also removes unwanted hair and prevents hair growth. You might find that if you have heavy or dense hair this paste might not be as effective as those who have fine hair.


Procedure:


  • Using a 3:1 ratio, mix the turmeric and milk together until you have a thick paste.
  • Spread the paste onto your skin in the same direction as your hair growth and allow it to dry.
  • Use a dry washcloth to scrub your skin in a circular motion and remove the paste.
  • Repeat the treatment every few days or as you see your hair growing.
  • You should notice your hair gets finer and takes longer to grow back after you’ve been using the paste for a couple of months.

3. Banana, Oatmeal and Milk:

If you have got dry skin, then banana is the best ingredient for you for removing unwanted hair. Banana leaves your skin supple and soft. Banana is excellent for removing excess hair. You need to combine it with something which is little rough for exfoliating it. However, the roughness will not cause any harm to your delicate and soft skin. It acts as an excellent cleanser for skin.


Procedure:


  • Mash the banana and add a 1-2 teaspoon of oatmeal and milk.
  • Keep it for 10 minutes and then wash it off.
  • Try to repeat it thrice a week.

4. Apricot and Honey:

Apricot, apart from all its vitamins and minerals, includes an excellent antioxidant called Lycopene. Whether some other part of apricot or this lycopene helps remove hair isn’t known precisely but yes apricot does help remove your facial hair! Because of this, you should organize a facial scrub using apricot as honey and the primary ingredient as the fixing that is secondary. But that doesn’t mean honey isn’t giving you its properties that are fine soften your skin and to get rid of hair.


Procedure:


  • 1 teaspoon Honey, 1/2 cup Dry apricots.
  • Wash off with lukewarm water.
  • Grind the dry apricots Keep on scrubbing for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • Repeat this 2-3 times weekly. Scrub gently together with your fingers in annular strokes.
  • Apply this mix in your face. Combine honey for this. Leave for 5-10 minutes.

5. Egg Mask:

In terms of stickiness, egg white is very much like sugar, lemon and honey mask. It dries quickly on your face so when you pull it off, you successfully remove the unwanted hair off your face. This may be slightly painful though.


Procedure:


  • In a bowl, mix the sugar and corn flour with the egg white to get a smooth paste.
  • Apply this egg mask on your face and let it dry for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • As soon as it dries, it becomes a thin mask on your face.
  • Peel off the egg mask with a firm hand so that the facial hair is pulled out as well. Be cautious not to hurt yourself when pulling.
  • Apply this treatment 2-3 times a week to remove facial hair completely.

6. Lavender and Tea Tree Oil:

Procedure:


  • Grind fenugreek seeds and green gram to get their powder.
  • Mix both the herbal powders.
  • Add enough water to make a paste.
  • Apply this paste on your face. Let it dry.
  • Once dried, use a soft dry cloth to gently rub the paste off your facial skin.

8. Raw Papaya:

Raw papaya is rich in papain, one of its active enzymes, which can inhibit hair growth by breaking down the hair follicle where the hair grows from. This treatment has many benefits – it makes your fine hair less visible, it exfoliates your skin naturally and it improves your skin texture. Plus, papaya is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.


Procedure:


  • Make a thick paste combining papaya paste, gram flour, Aloe Vera gel, turmeric powder, mustard oil and essential oil.
  • Apply this paste to the body part with unwanted hair in opposite direction of hair growth.
  • Leave it until it dries off for 15-20 minutes.
  • Using a clean cloth, remove the dried paste by rubbing in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  • Once all the paste has been removed, wash it off with water and pat dry.
  • Massage your skin with a few drops of olive oil or moisturizer.
  • Do the treatment 3-4 times a week for at least 3 months to get permanent results.
