As we have already mentioned previously, earwax is a kind of protection to the ear, successfully protecting it from water, dust and other small particles, which might penetrate deep in the ear and in areas that are more sensitive, causing inflammation and various infections.

Increased secretion of wax can sometimes lead to a wax buildup, which further causes clogged ear that is not pleasant at all. The amount of cerumen deposited in our ears is always individual and it varies from person to person. Excessive earwax deposition can occur due to ear canal narrowing, caused by infection or disease of the skin, bones or connective tissue. An earwax buildup can also occur due to insufficient or excessive secretion of wax due to a trauma or blockage within the ear canal. If you are often exposed to strong and unpleasant noise in your working environment, for more than a few hours a day, chances are your body will secrete significantly more earwax to naturally protect and defend the ear. In cases like this, clogged ear is not uncommon.

Clogged Ears Due To Colds

Seasonal viral infections that have not been healed properly, staying in rooms where people smoke and which are filled with dust can also cause accumulation and buildup of wax. And when to all of these factors we add the physical predispositions, such as the curvatures of the ear canal, accumulation and buildup of earwax debris increases and the ear canal gets clogged.
