1. Moisturizing Green Tea and Honey Face Mask
This water-rich green tea and honey face mask will help hydrate and moisturize dry and dull skin. Not just for dry skin, this green tea face mask is also perfect for oily skin. It works by cleansing and regulating sebum in oily and acne prone skin. The honey will also help soothe severe acne and calm redness. It contains the goodness of honey, which together with green tea will plump up skin and make it look dewy.
Honey is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and antiseptic properties that will help keep the acne away, and promote youthful glowing and soft skin.

Tips
Your green tea and honey face mask should not be drippy so make sure to add in the correct amounts of honey and green tea.
Use organic honey to avoid skin irritations caused by additives found in adulterated honey.
Gather your hair away from your face with a hair tie and smooth out any stray hairs because this face mask is sticky and can stick to your hair strands.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon green tea
- 1 teaspoon honey
Directions
Mix your two ingredients in a small bowl. Simply use your clean fingertips to gently apply the mixture onto your skin. Leave it on for about 5 minutes or until it dries up on your face. Using warm water, rinse off the mask thoroughly and pat dry.

2. Diy Pore Minimizing Face Mask
This face mask is made up of 3 of my favorite ingredients that do just this.
Matcha Green Tea Powder – is packed-full of antioxidants and is anti-inflammatory to help reduce pore size and regenerate new, healthy skin cells.
Activated Charcoal – despite its name this compound is safe to consume and use in your beauty products. Its properties help draw toxins to the surface i.e. those dreadful black heads you hate!
Bentonite Clay – when mixed with water its electrical charge changes which helps it to absorb toxins like those that were brought to the surface from the activated charcoal.
DIY Pore Minimizing Face Mask made from just 3 all-natural ingredients!
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp matcha green tea powder
- 1/2 tsp bentonite clay powder
- 2 activated charcoal capsules, opened and emptied

3. Aspirin & Lemon Juice Mask for Acne
This aspirin mask recipe can help clear up that pimple much faster than leaving it alone.
Ingredients
- 3-6 aspirin
- 1 lemon
- baking soda
- Coffee cup, rolling pin or glass cup (to crush the aspirin)
- Shallow dish
- Warm honey (runny honey), moisturizer made for the face or natural oil such as almond, olive or coconut
Directions
- Depending on the amount of coverage needed, use 3-6 aspirin.
- Crush the aspirin into small pieces by placing them in a Ziplock bag and rolling a coffee cup, rolling pin or glass cup over them. I put mine in an old coffee grinder that I use to grind spices. It worked brilliantly, but I’ve read that others used a mortar and pestle.
- Place aspirin in a dish.
- Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice (about 1 tablespoon per 3 aspirin) and allow the aspirin to dissolve into a paste.
- If the aspirin is coated, it may take longer.
- If you have dry skin, add a tablespoon or so of warm honey, moisturizer or a bit of oil (sweet almond, olive or coconut works). Stir well. If you have oily skin, you can skip this part and add a few more drops of lemon
instead. - Apply as a mask or spot treat the pimple or itchy area. Allow to dry.
- Remove the mask with a warm, wet washcloth dipped in baking soda.
4. Cucumber Facial Mask
Astringent cucumber makes for a stimulating, pore-tightening facial mask. There’s no need to visit a spa or pay big bucks for this type of treatment — just put your blender and a vegetable peeler to work creating an inexpensive homemade spa treatment. This product can be refrigerated for up to two days, although you should always discard it and make a new mask if there’s any change in appearance or odor after storage.
Ingredients
- 1 small cucumber
- Vegetable peeler
- Food processor or blender
- 1 tsp. honey (optional)
- 1 tsp. aloe vera gel (optional)
- 1 tbsp. oatmeal
- Coffee grinder
- 1 tbsp. brewer’s yeast (optional)
Directions
- Peel a small cucumber. Discard the skin. Puree the cucumber until smooth in a food processor or blender.
- Add 1 teaspoon honey or 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel to the cucumber puree if desired; these ingredients are optional. Both honey and aloe moisturize. The aloe helps heal minor skin irritations and the honey has antimicrobial properties.
- Grind 1 tablespoon of oatmeal into a fine powder in a coffee grinder. Add this to the cucumber puree and blend thoroughly, either by hand or in the food processor. You can add 1 tablespoon brewer’s yeast as well, if you desire. The oatmeal exfoliates, while the yeast improves circulation, nourishes with B-complex vitamins and tightens pores.
- Smooth the cucumber mask onto your face, rubbing it on with circular motions. Leave in place for up to 30 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
5. Avocado and Honey Mask for Dry Skin
This is a great mask for dry, peeling and scaling skin. The avocado and coconut oil provide replenishing moisture, while the honey helps to heal any chafed or raw areas. Avocado masks are used by celebs like Victoria Beckham and Jessica Biel, and the best part is that you can eat the second half that you don’t use on your face.
Ingredients
- 1/2 a very ripe avocado
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
Directions
Mash or puree the avocado until it’s smooth and creamy, and then blend in the rest of the ingredients. Apply to your face, avoiding your eyes, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wipe your skin clean with a damp, warm cloth, or rinse your face with warm water in the shower.
